Reaching Out

Viewpoints Gallery invited a select group of artists to collaborate with members of the community. I collaborated with Anna Dodd and Lani Eckart-Dodd of Ola Mau Farms. When I visited Ola Mau farms I was so impressed by the variety of kalo they had growing. It has been a wonderful experience getting reacquainted with Anna, my classmate from Oahu, and getting to know her family. I'm thrilled that this is deepening my awareness of kalo and expanding my knowledge of dyes from Hawaiian plants.
